Visit by Dr. Vannareth Seth, Advisor of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM), Cambodia
On 12 February 2026, Dr. Vannareth Seth (Advisor to Cambodia’s Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) and Permanent Representative of Cambodia with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO)) led a delegation on a visit to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) and met with Director-General NOMURA Ryoichi on the occasion of the WMO Public-Private Engagement Workshop (Tokyo, 10 – 13 February 2026).
During the visit, both parties expressed appreciation for the long-standing friendship and cooperation between their organizations, especially in the fields of observation and capacity building. Both parties stressed the importance of capacity building for the youth generation, and agreed to strengthen cooperation for further advancement with meteorological services in both countries.
